Mission
To support research in simulation, education and technology in individual and population health across the continuum of care, from patient homes to clinics to hospitals
Requirements
- Technologically advanced space for innovation research along the care continuum
- Simulating healthcare settings for prototyping, designing, testing, developing and data capturing within a nearly functional environment
- Supporting research in patient safety, home health, telehealth, rural health, and simulation-based learning led by CONHI researchers, with or without collaboration with entities in UTA and outside entities, such as healthcare systems
Examples of supported simulation research
- Redesigning for patient safety in primary care offices (“PROMIS Lab” funded by Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality)
- Rural telehealth applications for home based primary care & clinics
- Technology in rehab facilities and homes for older adults and patients with cognitive impairment
- Simulation-based education technology
